"It's dead comfortable, and reliable too"

Maintenance carpenter Jim Biggs has owned a 1970 A65T Thunderbolt for eight years after paying only £450 for the shabby unit construction twin.

A five month restoration saw the A65 returned to the road with new fork stanchions, rebuilt wheels and repainted cycle parts. The engine was in good condition. Jim was able to leave the bottom end undisturbed. He maintains the Thunderbolt in immaculate condition, changing the engine oil every 2000 miles

"Out of all the motorcycles I've owned the Thunderbolt has given me the most enjoyment. It's dead comfortable, and reliable too." says Jim who has also restored a Francis-Barnett Plover, a Sunbeam S8 and a Bantam.
